It's been a while, fellow Oracles
First of all, I want to tell you that I was accepted into the ranks of a mercenary group named Forlorn. Their connection to ORG, operations in the Omicrons and potential access to sensitive informaation attracted my interest properly. This might become useful in long term, however, I need instructions for interacting with Nomads and Wild while undercover.
I will not be able to run away or refuse to participate every time, otherwise I can say goodbye to this opportunity and full info on their Nomad-related work.
Next thing is related to how I handle PR with Order agents. Surprisingly, some don't even know about us (even those who aren't fresh recruits like Ms. Riemann from the logs below). I tried to use it to my advantage to create a purely positive image of the Oracles. Of course, I did what I could to avoid sharing sensitive information, such as the name of a certain person who shared a bond with a Nomad. Exarch Sajuuk knows who I am talking about.
Now here's how it went:
[22.03.2017 11:20:44] Oracle|Israfel: Woops. Hello there...
[22.03.2017 11:20:53] Order|Lena.Riemann: Guten Tag.
[22.03.2017 11:21:03] Order|Lena.Riemann: Weird signatures, who are you?
[22.03.2017 11:21:17] Oracle|Israfel: You really don't know? Well, okay...
[22.03.2017 11:21:45] Order|Lena.Riemann: I am a Rekrut, I still kind of have to learn.
[22.03.2017 11:21:59] Oracle|Israfel: I'm an Oracle. Basically one of those hopeless idealists who want peace between humans and Nomads.
[22.03.2017 11:22:18] Order|Lena.Riemann: That sounds interesting.
[22.03.2017 11:22:39] Order|Lena.Riemann: How does that even work? The Nomads are violent hunting aliens.
[22.03.2017 11:23:11] Oracle|Israfel: Well, they aren't to everyone. They don't consider us a target at all.
[22.03.2017 11:23:43] Order|Lena.Riemann: I guess if they wouldn't consider everyone else a target, it would be accomplishable.
[22.03.2017 11:24:11] Oracle|Israfel: Well, we're trying to arrange some negotiations. Maybe they will not end in mayhem.
[22.03.2017 11:24:35] Order|Lena.Riemann: I wonder what I am supposed to do with a nomad supporting person.
[22.03.2017 11:24:51] Oracle|Israfel: *Israfel snorts*
[22.03.2017 11:25:06] Oracle|Israfel: Well, you could always break Zoners' NFZ.
[22.03.2017 11:25:17] Order|Lena.Riemann: Nein, I respect their laws.
[22.03.2017 11:25:34] Order|Lena.Riemann: Although I guess you would fall under the category of a spectre.
[22.03.2017 11:25:45] Oracle|Israfel: Spectre? What's that?
[22.03.2017 11:26:05] Order|Lena.Riemann: Non-infected eyes and ears of Nomads.
[22.03.2017 11:26:16] Order|Lena.Riemann: So I think this is what you would be.
[22.03.2017 11:26:35] Oracle|Israfel: Hmm, somewhat. I'm more of a diplomat, though.
[22.03.2017 11:26:47] Oracle|Israfel: That's what I came for, anyway.
[22.03.2017 11:26:53] Order|Lena.Riemann: But a supporter of the Nomads.
[22.03.2017 11:27:21] Oracle|Israfel: Hmm.
[22.03.2017 11:27:31] Oracle|Israfel: Not directly, yet it applies.
[22.03.2017 11:27:39] Order|Lena.Riemann: For a diplomat, you are well armed.
[22.03.2017 11:28:05] Oracle|Israfel: Because I was sick of people who liberally break into other people's property.
[22.03.2017 11:28:18] Order|Lena.Riemann: Who does this apply to now?
[22.03.2017 11:28:49] Oracle|Israfel: Mmm, there are sporadic raids to Omicron Iota and beyond, remember?
[22.03.2017 11:29:00] Oracle|Israfel: Usually one or two ships.
[22.03.2017 11:29:08] Order|Lena.Riemann: Nein, I have joined two days ago.
[22.03.2017 11:29:25] Oracle|Israfel: Well, they happen and they really don't soothe my nerves.
[22.03.2017 11:29:51] Oracle|Israfel: I'm alright with people who protect their stations there, though.
[22.03.2017 11:29:57] Order|Lena.Riemann: I already was told about Iota being the Nomads homeworld, of course it is being attacked.
[22.03.2017 11:30:31] Oracle|Israfel: Also I sometimes have a strong wish to attack Core vessels. You know why, probably.
[22.03.2017 11:30:53] Order|Lena.Riemann: Not quite, I didn't get too much information about this conflict.
[22.03.2017 11:31:25] Oracle|Israfel: Oh, they are quite an assortment of megalomaniacs and greed-driven people...
[22.03.2017 11:31:48] Order|Lena.Riemann: That syncs with what I was told. *she nods*
[22.03.2017 11:32:15] Oracle|Israfel: So I can only see them as an enemy to both humanity and Nomads.
[22.03.2017 11:32:35] Order|Lena.Riemann: And we are a threat to the Nomads only.
[22.03.2017 11:33:02] Oracle|Israfel: Mmm, some say you threaten humanity too. I need good proofs for that.
[22.03.2017 11:33:09] Oracle|Israfel: I don't have them, so.
[22.03.2017 11:33:46] Order|Lena.Riemann: How is the Order threatening humanity, we want to save it.
[22.03.2017 11:34:07] Oracle|Israfel: Don't mind it for now. Actually, you pretty much have the right to defend Sirius. But Nomads have their right too. And this is-
[22.03.2017 11:34:15] Oracle|Israfel: Making everything tricky.
[22.03.2017 11:34:29] Order|Lena.Riemann: How do the Nomads have that right?
[22.03.2017 11:34:39] Order|Lena.Riemann: They want to eradicate us all, that is not defending.
[22.03.2017 11:34:45] Oracle|Israfel: Well, imagine an old man who slept too long...
[22.03.2017 11:35:50] Oracle|Israfel: And suddenly, the large territory of his farm is occupied by some fraggin' weird people who wake him up rudely.
[22.03.2017 11:36:11] Oracle|Israfel: He grabs a gun and defends his property.
[22.03.2017 11:36:27] Oracle|Israfel: But this is just one point of view.
[22.03.2017 11:36:55] Order|Lena.Riemann: The humans all swarmed desperately into Sirius, they were never able to go elsewhere, the Nomads defend their land from-
[22.03.2017 11:37:04] Order|Lena.Riemann: people that also have nowhere else to go.
[22.03.2017 11:37:09] Oracle|Israfel: Humanity's point of view is known to you. They came from nowhere and started killing people and subverting anything they-
[22.03.2017 11:37:13] Oracle|Israfel: Could reach.
[22.03.2017 11:37:24] Order|Lena.Riemann: I don't believe you are lying.
[22.03.2017 11:37:40] Order|Lena.Riemann: But how would we be able to excuse ourselves?
[22.03.2017 11:38:02] Oracle|Israfel: So, you do see the issue from both points of view, right?
[22.03.2017 11:38:12] Oracle|Israfel: Now we need a damn solution.
[22.03.2017 11:38:32] Order|Lena.Riemann: Peace will never be possible.
[22.03.2017 11:38:43] Order|Lena.Riemann: Humans are afraid of what they don't fully understand.
[22.03.2017 11:38:54] Order|Lena.Riemann: Even the Hessen know that.
[22.03.2017 11:39:01] Order|Lena.Riemann: The Order just dares to go further.
[22.03.2017 11:39:10] Order|Lena.Riemann: And I see this all for the first time.
[22.03.2017 11:39:22] Order|Lena.Riemann: But I have never been greeted by a Nomad.
[22.03.2017 11:39:26] Oracle|Israfel: Heh... Well, it doesn't dissuade me from trying.
[22.03.2017 11:39:50] Order|Lena.Riemann: If I would know that there was a chance of the Nomads not killing humans anymore, maybe I would think so too.
[22.03.2017 11:40:14] Oracle|Israfel: I don't know for sure but I'll work on it. Meanwhile, defend people.
[22.03.2017 11:40:36] Order|Lena.Riemann: Maybe you should talk with the Nomads rather.
[22.03.2017 11:40:44] Oracle|Israfel: I did.
[22.03.2017 11:41:06] Order|Lena.Riemann: And what was their response?
[22.03.2017 11:41:10] Oracle|Israfel: But to reach a result,
[22.03.2017 11:41:24] Oracle|Israfel: one needs to meet one of the Marduks.
[22.03.2017 11:41:44] Oracle|Israfel: All this time, I was simply learning, you know.
[22.03.2017 11:42:21] Oracle|Israfel: Only recently I managed to bunch myself together and start vooshing through Sirius in order to make allies.
[22.03.2017 11:42:49] Oracle|Israfel: In order to give at least some people the benefit of peace.
[22.03.2017 11:43:24] Order|Lena.Riemann: As long as we need to fear the Nomads doom, there can't be peace.
[22.03.2017 11:43:35] Order|Lena.Riemann: We can just pull back troops and guns, I doubt they would do that.
[22.03.2017 11:44:02] Oracle|Israfel: It will be a slow process. However... Something is changing.
[22.03.2017 11:44:14] Order|Lena.Riemann: It has to be for the good of us.
[22.03.2017 11:45:11] Oracle|Israfel: Something changes within the K'Hara. Did you know they can befriend humans and bond with them instead of killing or infecting?
[22.03.2017 11:45:32] Order|Lena.Riemann: I am sure they can, I am sure they can do a lot of things that we don't know.
[22.03.2017 11:45:40] Oracle|Israfel: It's huge news. This must change them.
[22.03.2017 11:46:00] Oracle|Israfel: But now we're only left to our old jobs, unfortunately.
[22.03.2017 11:46:06] Order|Lena.Riemann: Who would they befriend with?
[22.03.2017 11:46:23] Oracle|Israfel: Because emotion and attachment are quite universal.
[22.03.2017 11:46:56] Oracle|Israfel: I hope so much that it changes their minds.
[22.03.2017 11:47:45] Order|Lena.Riemann: Why would they not turn those humans against us then?
[22.03.2017 11:48:09] Oracle|Israfel: Hm. Who knows. Maybe they actually value them.
[22.03.2017 11:48:28] Order|Lena.Riemann: For what?
[22.03.2017 11:48:37] Order|Lena.Riemann: What do the humans bring the Nomads as friends?
[22.03.2017 11:48:54] Oracle|Israfel: Emotion and attachment. Like we do for each other, perhaps.
[22.03.2017 11:49:18] Oracle|Israfel: It's a comforting thought, isn't it? Now if only I had a solid proof.
[22.03.2017 11:49:38] Order|Lena.Riemann: Why would they want friends? They want to kill us all in the end, don't they?
[22.03.2017 11:50:34] Oracle|Israfel: Well, the only answer I have for now is emotion and attachment.
[22.03.2017 11:50:46] Oracle|Israfel: I'm not some wise old man, you see.
[22.03.2017 11:51:03] Order|Lena.Riemann: But you are a human who wanders through their places as a friend then, right?
[22.03.2017 11:51:32] Oracle|Israfel: Or you don't because I wear a voidsuit... Um. Yes, I do, but never past the Omicron Iota.
[22.03.2017 11:52:03] Oracle|Israfel: The space beyond is like a sanctum.
[22.03.2017 11:52:37] Oracle|Israfel: One of your comrades?
[22.03.2017 11:52:45] Order|Lena.Riemann: *she nods* Indeed.
[22.03.2017 11:52:56] Oracle|Israfel: Greetings, mister Smith.
[22.03.2017 11:52:59] Order|Mark.Smith: Good day Lena, and uh Oracle
[22.03.2017 11:53:21] Oracle|Israfel: Sheesh, it was quite a talk.
[22.03.2017 11:53:23] Order|Lena.Riemann: Hallo, Mark.
[22.03.2017 11:53:43] Oracle|Israfel: Guys, do you want beer? I have four crates here...
[22.03.2017 11:53:50] Order|Lena.Riemann: Nein.
[22.03.2017 11:54:13] Oracle|Israfel: Alright, then, I'll drink tea.
[22.03.2017 11:54:35] Order|Mark.Smith: No, i still have a lot to do
[22.03.2017 11:54:44] Order|Mark.Smith: Getting drunk is the least i need right now
[22.03.2017 11:54:51] Oracle|Israfel: *video feed cuts off and some noise is heard*
[22.03.2017 11:54:51] Order|Lena.Riemann: I agree.
[22.03.2017 11:55:06] Order|Lena.Riemann: Was...what was that?
[22.03.2017 11:55:15] Order|Lena.Riemann: Reminds me of the sounds from yesterday.
[22.03.2017 11:55:15] Oracle|Israfel: Can't just show my face, you know.
[22.03.2017 11:55:39] Oracle|Israfel: I can't drink tea in a helmet.
[22.03.2017 11:56:13] Order|Mark.Smith: *Chuckles*
[22.03.2017 11:56:40] Oracle|Israfel: What will we do with a drunken sailor... *you hear water boil*
[22.03.2017 11:57:08] Order|Lena.Riemann: I expected a Nomad diplomat to be more...I don't know, strange.
[22.03.2017 11:57:24] Order|Mark.Smith: Heh, guess we'll just leave you there to sip tea
[22.03.2017 11:57:31] Order|Mark.Smith: Lena, coming?
[22.03.2017 11:57:34] Oracle|Israfel: -earl-ay in the morning. *apparently, he pours a cup of tea*
[22.03.2017 11:57:51] Order|Lena.Riemann: *she nods* Ja, I am following.
[22.03.2017 11:57:55] Oracle|Israfel: Ah, sure, come back to your duties.
[22.03.2017 11:58:01] Oracle|Israfel: See you later.
[22.03.2017 11:58:10] Order|Lena.Riemann: Auf Wiedersehen.
[22.03.2017 11:58:16] Oracle|Israfel: Damn, I'm out of sugar!
[22.03.2017 11:58:22] Oracle|Israfel: Frag my life.
