Ok, here's what's been bothering me a lot last few days, it seems some of the roleplay factions or 'clans' have decided to take upon themselves to write canon 'rules' for the npc factions. Apparently this way they are 'right' and everyone else is 'wrong' imposing their rules with very little and not to mention crappy roleplay.
Allow me to put an example:
Just 2 hours or so I was on Omicron-Alpha, currently my reputation tag displays me as corsair, obviously for making jobs for the outcasts, my id is mercenary and the ship I'm flying at the moment is IMG spatial's.
Now, before anyone starts calling rules and pointing fingers left and right, I am writing a story here in forums that will develop the character further and put into perspective the idea and the story of the character itself, but the bothering part is this: I was threatened and told to do what rp faction told me to do or be shot and killed? of course they said I was a merc they couldn't trust me, whatever yak yak yak.
The point being there was no roleplay done, they took upon themselves to judge what their npc faction would do (and of course they took upon themselves to say "don't come back") so I got quite irked.
So instead of going ahead and start opening a thread with complaints against players, here's what the game seems to miss.
Next to the pinned rules on the top of this forum, should be npc factions do's and dont's, displaying every npc faction, but its very important to add in those descriptions what ID tags are welcome or not welcome by the npc faction since discovery offers more tags than normal.
This will help a lot to show here the existing npc factions and show the changes that govern the roleplay and the relationship between tags with them.
If needed I can write them down and give my opinion on them for the admins to read and approve or disapprove.
Anyway, hope I didn't bore anyone with this and hope this helps the roleplay better.
