It would make a statement, one the Imperials could not ignore, given the historical value of the installation. However, this will only succeed if you support the effort, the Army is willing to bleed to support its allies, but having a small military presence to support the Army will send a message. Either way, what the Army really needs is access to the system without repercussions for the time being.
