Are outcast cap ships now open to any ID?

Wow, 18 pages of this. I believe I have a unique perspective as one of the indies. In relative terms I am new to the server and the forums. I have an indie Outcast that flies a Destroyer. This whole arguement about registering, or faction vs indie is rediculous. I bought my Dessie, and a few days later was asked (In a very polite and professional manner) if it was registered. I said no because I did not know it needed to be. The 101st pilot in question then politely told me where to go.

Akumabito if you are comparing this to hoops that must be jumped through then so be it. But allow me to expand on that analogy: a midget could STEP through these hoops. It took me literally 5 mins to cook up something that i thought would suffice for an RP background for my ship. Turns out I didnt have to go that far. Kallisto just basically said, "Hey im here this is my ship" and was approved. This is not to oppress the indies, I am an indie and i have never felt oppressed by any of the Outcast Factions. They dont care if you are 101st, BLS or RoS all they care about is that IF you have a capship you role play it. Everyone has probably had the expierance of some one in a capship blow them up for no reason and then laugh about it. THIS is what the 101st is trying to combat. They arent out to get you if you arent part of their faction.

As for forcing good rp'rs to register against their will, if they truely are a good Rper, it will take them maybe 5 to 10 mins to cook up a story, another 5 or so to type it up depending on length, and post it. If they dont want to spend half an hour to do this, (Which in my modest opinion requires little more than two brain cells occasionally colliding to do) they are quite frankly be lazy. If you can invest all the time into gathering the funds to buy and equip said cap ship then you can cough up half an hour to post something. (Or in Kallisto's case thirty seconds)

This has gone on way to long, some one is going to have an anurism. Go drink some Rum and be happy.
