Chapter 18 - Liberty Police Inc. Fining and engaging protocols and you

Liberty law states that you can only fine offenders up to ten million, so that means that anything below ten million is fair game. Here we will list the standard fines for different offenses.

Contraband Smugglers: Standard Operating Procedure for Contraband Smugglers is to ask for a fine and ask them to drop their illegal goods. Call for a transport to come take the contraband to the nearest LPI office for "processing" as "evidence".

Up to 1000 units of contraband, as defined by Liberty laws: One million fine + Drop Contraband
With that, every additional 1000 units will up the fine by one million.
If the smuggler gives you lip: Add one million to the fine.

Remember to use your guncam and file a report after an encounter with a smuggler. This way, we can identify repeat offenders and punish them accordingly.

Illegal Ships or IDs: SOP for pilots with illegal ships or IDs is to ask them to either buy a new ship, or tell them to get outta town. That means escorting them out of Liberty.

First-time Offenders: Warning + Shown the nearest door.
Second-time Offenders: Two million credit fine + Shown the nearest door.
Third-time Offenders: Three million credit fine + Shown the nearest door. Submit evidence and we will put the repeat offender on the criminal list.

Lane loiterers. We always have those time of people. As the Libertonian Law states that anyone who disrupts the lane has the intent to Pirate someone, anyone found around the lanes with unknown intents (middle of the lanes or such), are to be told to leave that place at once.

First-time offenders: Warning + Send away from the place. (Any unlawful ID that is not pirating there is to be fined 5 million and sent away.)
Second-time offenders: Two million credit fine + Warning before the arrest. (Any unlawful ID that is not pirating there in this case is cleared to be engaged)
Third-time offenders: You are cleared to engage in this case as the offender is considered dangerous at this point.

Any freelancers assisting the Unlawful forces are to be shot down on sight and reported to the Chief of police.

If they do not comply, you are cleared to engage. If they manage to get away in any way, report it to the Chief as soon as possible.
