It has been a long time since the last log, I'm well aware of that, which is mostly due to the fact that I have been incredibly busy dealing with different business and hadn't been able to visit Haven as regularly as I'd wish, especially since it had been moored at Taba for the time being. Now, with the completion of its main and most urgent repairs and its retransferring to the docks of Glendalough Orbital, I had the pleasure of seeing the Seraphim in its own hangar again, pretty much untouched since the last time I've been working on them the last time. From now on, I'll be working more towards finally finishing the issues related to these ships.
The means for it we should definitely have. And now that I got the time - and the appropriate help in form of the repair droids -, the problems will finish in no-time.
Said droids are currently working on implementing the new core units Knight Captain Stenn has already ordered some time ago. It's definitely become a lot easier with these A.I. colleagues to help me, they are far better capable of making their way into the inner workings of the Nyx Fighters than humans like me could ever. For instance, I am not forced anymore to remove the majority of its hull to reach the units I'm interested in, a small hole for the droids to enter is absolutely sufficient by now. I will report as soon as the core units have been implemented, then we will see how the fighters can handle them. Judging from tests I have already examined with the new ones, we will probably even have to decrease their power output a little, I'm in doubt the Nyxes in their current state could handle the amount of energy they will unevitably produce. On the other hand, maybe we can use the surplus amount and divert them to the weapons systems, which would enable us to mount more energy-consuming weaponry than the standard Crayterian one.
Talking about the weapons they delivered with the Fighters, they are not in such bad conditions than the Nyxes, however could also use a retrofit with up-to-date energy-converting technology, the way they create and accelerate the energy particles at first glance seems to be pretty unefficient and something I could also try to improve soon in the future.
That's it. I'll be back with another log soon.
