[Weekend Event]: Uncharted System - Independent Worlds [Concluded]

See, we called this a dungeon event. But in regular dungeons in all RPG games, we don't have any player versus player around. Dungeons were made for people to obtain gear by groupping up and dealing with hard enemies. I'll still say that this was one of the better events around, and it should happen again, definitely, but, I'd say, remove the PvP out of it.

Look at it from a roleplay perspective. A jumphole appears that takes you into a previously uncharted system. You don't recognize anything, no data is available on it. After searching through it, you're met by unknown contacts. As we all know, red is dead, so they start shooting at you. Now, another group of people appears from the same jumphole. It's again, people you've had contact with (bad/neutral/friendly ; doesnt matter). Unknowns start shooting at them, so it's only common for them to ally with you in order to kill the ones shooting at you. You kill them, get the loot, and leave.

What I'm saying is, Player versus Player in this kind of event should not be allowed. They should be PvE focused events that allow everyone to get stuff, money, data, commodities unavailable elsewhere, and take their leave. Roleplay should be encouraged inside aswell, but you are fighting a previously unknown enemy, so a saying comes to mind: "The enemy of my enemy is my friend".

The UN| did try to RP with the LN and RM indies but basically got told to go away and do one or die, we were infact leaving to regroup with a ally in to be CD spammed and rekt by stupid childish behavior

Since it seems the real reason you are debating here is that you were killed by a group of indies and couldn't do whatever you wanted, I'll give here a statement to this.

You are angry that a group of people were jumping on you or your UN friends, okay, I understand it this far. Now here's what I don't understand. You claim you wanted to RP with us. No problem, really, we would have RPed with you.
But. It seemed more like you rather wanted to troll the group which 'only' wanted to kill the 2 NPC Super Carriers. Why? Well. We told you to stay away, not only from us, but from the NPCs aswell. Because we all know they can kill a battleship in a few seconds once one is triggered. Instead of staying away you were cruising towards the NPC's, effectively triggering them at our ships, leading to the fact that we were heavily damaged. And that not only one time, but 2 or 3. We told you not to do so, even after the first time. You seemed more like trollers than RPer's. And we know it is not possible to kill a Super Carrier with 2/3 battleships. They're dead meat when the cultist carrier starts to move on them. Thus, it was decided to remove you/the UN since all you were doing is making our project impossible. That you are being attacked then is OBVIOUSLY no wonder. You could like not have tried ruined everything our group tried to do.
So please don't QQ about the result of your own actions, neither here, nor via PM's ingame.

About the event. It surely looks all in all weird and is, I would have liked nomads to be the NPC enemies. But I bet, the most people going there actually enjoyed the event.

It's funny you say we were there to troll? because we were in the system for a good few hours doing roleplay with lots of people even tried to say we owned one of the sectors (PoB's) and to stay away from it, we took down a good amount of Cultist Roc Bombers loosing 2 cruisers in the process and watching a commune die then come back, not only that but when we came close to you guys within 10k we knew and had feelings you would turn your attention to us because we had scientific data and you know RM and LN are hostiles to uN| and you had a Sabre with you who refused point blank to be hired but instead CD'd us when we even offerd to make a "Proposal" in RP to help with the Cultist BS, we knew if we triggered the second one that would be "Game over" but the attitude we recieved from yourself and your buddies was really disappointing. When you could clearly see we was just 2 cruisers with minimal armor (CAU VI) you had to cruise-EK on us and make sure we was not moving to ruin our time when we wanted to make a proposal to you. So no this isn't our fault but yours and your friends for being too greedy and we must kill everything for cool goodies. Thanks for ruining my freelancer experience in this new event system. Considering I haven't played properlly in 6 weeks roughly.
