Shuri Base Under New Management

The first true He-3 distribution station of the Taiheiyo Consortium floating in the Mintaka Hydrogen Field.

SHURI BASE - One of the most significant business transactions in the history of the Taiheiyo Consortium took place today as Shuri Base, one of the largest Helium-3 distribution installations, was purchased from the original owners, Stone Bros. Ltd/GmbH. The station was purchased for an undisclosed amount of credits after brief negotiations with the previous owners.

A press conference was held shortly after the signing of the purchase contract. Sean Stone, the Executive Director of Stone Bros. Ltd/GmbH, gave the following statement at the conference:

I am really glad we were able to strike a deal over Shuri Base. It is not easy for our company and even for me personally to leave it, because we built this place from a tiny station to a huge multipurpose complex and we even lived on the base for quite some time, but numbers from the economy department about the financial condition of the whole company as well as lossy running of Shuri leaves us no other choice. I wish the new owners good luck and better results than we had.

Sora Kobayashi, a senior member of the Consortium Board of Directors, commented on the deal:

It really is a momentous day for TaiCon. Our efforts to establish greater Helium-3 and Hydrogen mining operations in Guild space will be bolstered tenfold by the acquisition of our own collection and distribution center. Although Shuri is slightly remote, we have no doubt that we will be able to turn a profit from the installation and utilize the profits responsibly. We at the Consortium feel this is another one of many important steps in strengthening the sovereignty of the Sigmas.

The station, located in the Mintaka Hydrogen Field in the Okinawa system at grid G4/H4, will soon be open for prospective traders looking to involve themselves in Helium-3 shipping.
