With pleasure I am to announce that the first new power core units have just been successfully implemented into the first three Seraph fighters. Some adjusting had to be done between the old, outdated systems of the craft and the high-technological products we've purchased, coming directly from Libertonian science labs - of course there had to be a few complications, just like when two cultures collide.
First of all, the way Crayterian and Libertonian power cores store their energy seems to be slightly different. While Crayterian models store it with the help of plate capacitators, Libertonian crafts got a set of charged batteries as a power core. As a conclusion, that means that Libertonian ones are capable of delivering more energy with a far higher voltage, which would and in fact did overload the energy system of Seraph One (I'm sorry, Nick, it happened to be yours).
Over the course of the last days, I've been fixing this issue manually with the help of a few droids, implementing an additional transformator to get rid of the problem. This again took a while, but in the end it seemed to work - to a certain degree. There were still surplus energy readings indicating that the power core could still overstrain the other modules of the Nyxes, however to a less worrysome degree. Additionally, I planned a small amount of surplus in advance anyways, for the time being I've diverted it to an outside system, but my future plans are to use it to optimize the power output of engines and weapons as well. They will however need a tweaking as well, which can theoretically take quite some time, before I could dare to connect them to the new power core.
If it is going to work out the way I hope, though, the Nyxes could turn out to be even more efficient than originally designed by the Crayterians.
