Hussaini pursed his lips for a moment, as he backed away from the table slightly, taking up a wholly upright position. - "I see I struck a nerve. Not my intention." - It was most definitely his intention, yet admitting to that wasn't nearly as fun as pretending otherwise. He sighed somberly, looking into the distance, pulling out his best, "I'm ashamed and I'm sorry" face. But only for a moment, before returning to his game face and looking straight back at them.
"I see you like to deal with hypothetical scenarios, Elena." - He nodded.
"I do too, as it happens." - He grinned, and occasionally glanced at the Operative out the corner of his eye, tracking his movements. "Say, this hypothetical child of yours. And I do hate repeating myself, believe me; But what sort of world would you like for it to grow up in?"
"As it is?" - He made a slight "tsk" sound and shook his head. - "The insane establishment of the soulless contraptions, ironically named 'The Houses'?"
"Where your, hypothetical child would grow up in the shadow of the giants, exploited by remorseless elites? Perhaps even sent off to die in some war..." - His pupils shrunk and dilated as he looked at Elena, unblinkingly, his voice growing more severe, in contrast to his previous cheerful tone. - "Only to perpetuate the endless cycle of corruption, lies, and madness that never amounts to anything, other than the preservation of the status quo? Where most individuals are simply strangers to each other, wallowing in endless insignificance?"
"No, no I don't think so." - He nodded as his eyes narrowed, now unflinchingly looking at Elena, as if trying to hypnotize her. - "I think you've always hoped, no, -known- that there is more to it. An escape from the prison that society imposes on us all, a way to make a difference, to break the cycle and seize the freedom that lies right outside your grasp."
"We can give you this; No Masters and chains, no darkness and ignorance, only freedom, only truth, only the light..." - A tiny swirl appeared in the texture of his iris, noticeable only if directly looked at.
