The Operative didn't have to say anything more, Elena already could think of the suspicion he had, Hussaini being secretly infected. Once again worries sprouted in the inner scene of her mind, ones that would unyieldingly grow larger and spread around like weed on a meadow. She had never seen the countenance of an infested human before, and if she was honest to herself, she would have gladly forgone ever doing so. His reaction only verified Red's concern, as he wasn't going to deny it vehemently and went without refuting, even smiling about the question. After she had eyed Hussaini tentatively for a few seconds and after that her hands resting on the table, she would withdraw the latter, bracing them against her wooden seat. An instinctive act of caution. She would start sliding to left and to the right on her seat, rather nervously, while still looking into Hussaini's eyes that obviously waited for a reply.
Most of all, she would have liked to just run away shrieking, leaving this damn place as soon as she could, but something held her back. Something began interesting her. It weren't the prolix words of the obscure man - of course, his oratorio-like monologue had been interesting to listen to, but they weren't causing anything inside her. "So, tell me, Bassam", she began. In fact, his words had bored her, as they had in vain attempted to describe something she already knew about anyways. Listening to his prattling monologue however had amused her. "'The Destiny of Mankind', you say? That sounds more interesting, let us talk more about that!" She smirked. And this time not a pressed one, but instead a sincere one with a hint of mischief. "Let me, please, to ease my overly simple mind, put it in a nutshell. You, together with the Commune, wanna change the face of mankind. In a way that was never attempted before. Have you never watched horror movies? Maybe you should, because that's its most stereoypical plot." She paused for a moment, considering how to put it the best way. "Come on, isn't this a little too megalomaniacal? Bassam, to be honest, I don't know if you know that I know exactly what you are trying to tell me." She straightened her top. "I'm not the most uninformed. To complete your words, you are trying to forcefully press humanity into something, something different, something it is - by God - not destined to be." She would have to keep herself at bay to not talk herself into a fury. She raised an eyebrow. "You strive for establishing a collective."
At the same time, she pushed the Operative into his hip with her elbow, discreetly, trying to signalize him he should stay being on guard. After all, there was a likely infected only a few meters before them.
