Problem is, gunboats CAN'T take out ONE Raven Claw on its own.

I actually think this is the fault of the Raven Claw rather than gunboats. It is a superb fighter but the 8 forward guns puts it in a different class to anything else. In my opinion no fighter should carry more than 6 forward guns and possibly a turret, so setting up with 4 shield killers isn't a viable combat option (unless you intend shield killing to be the fighters entire purpose). I personally would like the Raven Claw nerf'd (again) to fit in line with all the other fighters, but that's an opinion for another thread...

Back on topic, I agree that having the 3 different types of BS shield for the 3 different types of weapons favoured by each house would strike a superb balance across the server. Not only would this positively effect Battleships, but players would also have to think about different armaments depending on who they go to battle with, tying in with the roleplaying factions perfectly.
