I did ask for an invite. The character's human consciousness is meant to be -very- vulnerable to Nomad suggestion (after all, there were large mindnodes present on scene), so I wanted to play their role. I was originally going to side with the BAF, then the Nomads because I thought the Nomads were losing, then I realised the Nomads were snub ganking like it was no tomorrow and switched. I wasn't in voice chat and was away from the fight zone for a long period of time, so that's why my situational awareness wasn't great. I'd also been blown to dust by Nomad NPCs slightly before engaging for either side and had to TWICE fly back from the Omicrons, so my docking on that outpost was totally understandable given the circumstances (I didn't combat dock either).
She has an unknown IFF because there's no other IFF which describes what she is - something which doesn't fit within conventional neuralnet designations. This is usually good for RP and gameplay - people are wary of her, Nomads are more relaxed - befitting the roleplay that she's susceptible to what Nomads tell her to do. On an individual personality level, however, she's opposed to the nomads - she just doesn't have monolithic control 100% of the time.
I did substantial roleplay to show the character as conflicted and in turmoil as to what they should be doing. Remember, they're not infected, they're just very vulnerable to Nomad telepathy due to all kinds of shenanigans that have happened in the past as a result of interactions with other players. Nomads can talk -through- her through said means, per RP with Commune, if they so choose, but I only ever explore that if there's people around who I think could use that to their own RP development. In the end it boiled down to: Bretonian Character, Nomads in New London, and I RP'd that transition.
I also didn't shoot any nomads whilst grouped with nomads, or any BAF whilst grouped with BAF. I basically left both groups and did what the character would do in that situation. I was always going to have gone in to support the side which was getting annihilated - that's what I did.
As for dying by my own mine, I meant to hit countermeasures and hit the key next to it by accident as CDs were flying around.
She's meant to be a quirky not-quite-this-not-quite-that hyper-conflicted character who aspires to be a perfectly normal human again, a sort of Sirian Pinocchio, going through a succession of mad stories to reach normality again, and I apologise if that created confusion rather than fun. However, considering I didn't get any kills and only succeeded in draining a few snubs, in a snub battle that Wilde won anyway, isn't this a bit much to take me to task over?
Remember, just because I'm green to Nomads, Nomads are still red to me. My IFF is set by admin commands but my actual rep sheet still works dynamically just as any other rep chart would. Per the ID, she can only work with nomads and infected if Nomads and infected engage in telepathy with her.
