What do you suggest? Freelancer IFF doesn't work as it doesn't invite the suspicion and hostility from humans that Unknown IFF invites.
The problem with "Unknown" IFF is that some bright spark decided "Unknown" means "Wilde", when it doesn't. "Unknown" means something that can't be verified by neuralnet ID.
You can FR5 if you want to, but it's pointless. I can't dock at nomad bases, and I get shot by nomad and Wilde NPCs anyway. It would force me to close down a project I've spent years on, and would demotivate me enough to get me to leave. Unioners would be happy over that one.
I've spent years developing this character. Years and bloody years. Long enough to SRP 10 Zoner Makos. I'm not going to be happy if one dissatisfactory encounter screws with this and makes the character no longer interesting for me. There's no point to Nesrin if she can just seamlessly work with other humans without anybody having suspicions or taking her to task.
I refuse to have my work retconned because a bunch of wilde guys were too busy fighting to read what I typed in a spawned event in New London. Nor did my engagement change the consequence of the fight.
Jog on. You can't change the terms of somebody else's SRP because you don't like it.
