here is Violet Atreides. Your beloved voice of wisdom and knowledge about the recent happenings and internal rumours of our brave pilots out there.
After the last sad news about the loss of Minerva Research Center and the death of 200 Crayterians the fightings settled for a bit to focus on the wounded pilots. The head of the medical section on Sabah Shipyard informed me that yesterday the last person was finally allowed to leave the section fully recovered. I think you all agree with me, that our hearts and thoughts are with those who fought and will fight for us and their families.
Especially since our Fleet is always on duty and already went out to another battlefield. This time they fight and win in Tau-44 our old and new home. The heaviest fights took place around Minato Harbour and Sulawesi Citadel, where they headed to after the fights with the Royalists were approaching a hint too close to Planet Borneo. From the reports I got I can tell you that we were victorious against the gallic royalists, even though not all of our fighters remained unharmed. Those of you who wish to donate a small token of affection and care to the families of the ones where there is now missing a brave heart can contact our radio station, we set up an account of donations. So feel free to be generous when you show your gratitude for living the safe and happy life you live right now.
But not all takes place in Tau-44. Coronado is under protection as well and currently some gallics and Outcasts became blunt enough to engage some civilian ships. I heard from a Captain that our answer was not what they expected or liked very much. He told me that they ran away with the tail between their legs, and I can tell you that picture made my day back at that moment. Further on the fleet made some raids towards Leeds and Tau-31 to keep the royalists suprised with short attacks which went the way the Fleet Admiral planned them. As usual he was in the front row, not leaving his pilots alone out there. Risky but we do know that this is simply Admiral Richard's stlye of handling fights and threats of the Republic.
Luckily not everything is about wars and fights nowadays. The Athena Squadron, our research department, informed us that the building of the artificial islands on Planet Yuma proceed even better than expected. Thanks to the cooperation with Planetform Inc some of the islands can soon be used as settlements for those who love to live close to the ocean. If you know what I mean. Further on the work on getting along with Yumas wild plantlife is getting slowly better as well. From what I was told our scientists managed to modify already one plant into something that can be used as grains. They even said that the taste, which seems to be rather special, does change heavily with the way of preparing the corn. Plus the nutrition is especially good so that it can become one of our biggest export products if we do not keep it secret around Sirius.
With that we come to the most interesting informations, secrets of famous people in our government. The rumor that shocked me the most is that Fleet Admiral Richard was not having an affair with Admiral Chandler. With all the ruccus between them I somehow suspected that. BUT an anonymous informant of mine told me that in the fleet it says that Michael Richard has a sweetheart in the medical section. We shall see if that is true. Besides that I was told that some female soldiers got their hopes high to make a move on their Fleet Admiral, evil tongues say that some of them only did that to get a higher rank faster but ended up with being degraded. So listen ladies: Not everything can be achieved by charming poor soldiers, especially if they are your comrades.
***sound of microphone being covered***
Oh well I was just ordered to stop with the informations and tell you all the weather.
The next week you need to be ready for the beginning of the rain season on the southern parts of Planet Yuma. As for Planet Borneo, some less sane people told me that the upcoming drop of temperature in the frozen parts are the best point for a therapy to freeze down their body fat. Well if it comes for me I would prefer the equatorial zone where the prognosis go for warm with light rain and no really high air humidity. So perfect for a spontaneous holiday trip if you wish for something more thrilling than the usual beach party on Planet Curacao.
With this my sending time is over so I wish you all a good night and safe skies if you are still moving on out there.
This was your beloved Violet Atreides. Tune me up again, the next time I will try to get some more spicey stuff about our public persons secret life.
