Weapons: What are their uses?

flak turrets/cannons-
great for taking out fighters but if u hit once the radius is so great it will prob. get allied npc factions mad at u if u hit them (if they're in the general vicinity). I've had this happen to me several times... its annoying.

Flak Cannons are slow moving projectiles. They are really pretty useless unless you have, say, six of 'em. Though, they are only really good against NPC capship patrols. For example, you can kill an entire Kusari Destroyer/gunboat patrol by shooting the destroyer. They RARELY hit fighters. Trust me on this... I have six on my BS.

And no, they don't do enough to battleships to matter. One battlerazor fired does as much as something around 4 salvos of six cannons.
