Elizabeth's words did nothing but upset the Gallic pilot. It's inconceivable to think that the Roi wouldn't care about his soldiers, the same with the Navy. Colleagues looked out for each other, even if they were friends or enemies. There was a sense of honor, patriotism and they were all joined in arms fighting for the same cause. She was partially right - her colleagues probably would try to detain her to question her on what happened, but there would be no way she'd suffer anything worse. The same condescending theme followed her words, which was incredibly infuriating.
