Le journal intime

My name is Tristan Duval, I was born in 792 A.S and I'm the usual soldier de His Majesty. I write these lines in the hope that they will be able to tell about the horrors of the war, about the value of friendship and about me. About my life. I didn't think I'd start a diary, to be honest, but I need to keep my head in order after all that happens to me. War is an event where many different things happen, from good to bad. I'm tired. I would like to tell you first about what troubles me the most.

Do you know such moments when life unexpectedly gives you a second chance? I did not think I knew either. I still remember how my burning fighter was falling into ruins. Why did I do this? To save the lives of my enemies. Are they my enemies, these ordinary people? I do not know, but I feel that I made a right choice. I had to die there, but I was saved. Saved by a woman named Amelie Molnar. The only thing she demanded from me is joining the Foreign Legion. I couldn't refuse.

Now I'm holding a newspaper in my hands. The title is bright "Betrayal of the commander". I still do not understand why she did this and involuntarily I start to think about who I'm fighting for. However, I successfully pretend to be an absolute and stupid patriot, like all Bretonians. This is not the last event that worries me.

For example, recently we attacked the planet New London. I've never seen so many fighters in one place. The air was saturated with burnt plasma and laser beams. I cleverly dodged the attacks of the enemy, until he was hit by an enemy fighter. My gravitiy stabilizators and engines were turned off and I was going to burn in the atmosphere, when suddenly... An enemy ship crashed into me. This pushed me away from the surface of the planet and I was picked up by allies. Until now, I want to know why this pilot did this? I dont know. Human's nature is too hard to understand.

I hope, that this war will end soon and I will return to my little sister.

It's a good day to die,
When you know the reasons why.
Citizens we fight for what is right,
A noble sacrifice.
