A biography, the longer the better:

Born to a couple that defected from the Coalition to Kusari, Shaojie was raised in the same uptight atmosphere that was typically found in the People's Nation. His father quickly finding a job as an independent gas miner and his mother raising him and the two sisters that shed brought with them, he never got much time to himself and was nearly always providing.

Near the age of sixteen, he was waivered to be given his pilot's license, soon after joining a small independent fighter group based off Planet Honshu. His unusual background, alongside his tendency to flaunt it around, made him the talk of his niche. Not a day went by where conversations didn't center around 'Shaojie the Commie' or 'Governor Zhang', and while it was whelming at times, he ignored it, not caring in the slightest what others thought of his lineage.

After the turn of the decade into the 810s, Shaojie found himself in an ascending job flying escort for Kishiro Technologies. He made quite an earning flying for the manufacturing firm, even bringing in more than money at times, and genuinely found it relaxing to an extent. Frequent work alongside the GMG in the Sigmas helped him grow a fondness for the Guild, and by the time of his separation from Kishiro in late 822 A.S., he had it in his mind to apply. A couple of years passed before, however, due to a brief stint of personal exploration in the Omicron systems, and with his return, he finds himself without a purpose.
