You manage to dock, and by recent change in rule 4.3, you are not PvP dead. You can continue to use this char & trade. But, the problem starts when you try to undock, or even return to system 10-15 minutes later. Empty cargohold, or even with non-event commodities, previously mentioned Corsairs/Outcasts instantly engage and kill you, as the "I seen you smuggling before". Are they allowed to do so?
Actions have consequences.....do not expect to be able to run and dock to escape a demand or destruction and the shortly later......un-dock and expect nothing to happened to you.
If you then.....return to the system with legal cargo and expect to be treated like any other trader, it almost sounds like you were trying to bait someone into a sanction. I am probably wrong, but that is what it reads like to me when you described the situation.
Maybe for this event....Smugglers SHOULD be considered PvP dead for 2 hours, if you dock within range of hostiles who are trying to stop or destroy you.
No, I expected some RP after I undocked, with said enemy telling me to drop my cargo, never come back, ask for a fine, or whatever. Undocking planet and getting 6 torpedoes flying towards me without any RP is not what I expected, as neither Corsair ID allows it nor event rules. If I had event commodities, maybe they can kill me without any demand, but without them, no.
They expected the RP before you docked.
Had it been me there when you undocked. I would have asked for a 60 mill fine, and you probably would have chosen to not pay it, and it would have ended with the same 6 torpedos eating you up.
Why 60mill? That is unreasonable you say? Certainly not, when that is around what you made by running and docking and not stopping.
It is not a game where you get to have it both ways, and to get all Lancer Legal over the whole thing, is just bad form Bro. Just my opinion.
