As of my recent promotion to the rank of Oberleutnant of the Rotte Hessen Armee, I have gained command of a RH-GM482 "Vidar" cruiser, Karlsruhe. I have decided to take the cruiser and it's crew for a tour of Frankfurt system. Upon entering, I moved directly to Bruchsal base. Other than usual resupplying and debriefing, the Bundschuh officer also mentioned something bizzare. A new jumphole appeared in Sigma - 13 system, and it has attrected quite the attention. This rumor made me intrigued, so I decided to prolong my trip and continue further on.
Upon arrival in Sigma system, I went for a system wide sensor scan, to see if they catch something unusual. And I was right, a weak signal appeared,
anomaly-like emmissions. Tracked it to the centre of the system, where I discovered this . Upon entering, I have stumbled upon a IMG miner, which gave me the impression that not that I am not the first person here, but that it is already widely used, even for mining. Brief talk with the miner gave me further insight in the situation. Seems that there's some type of ore mined within the system, and the Zoners have made it very profitable, as they are gathering massive amounts of it for unknown purposes, but the unbelievably high of 20,000sc per unit they offer for it makes you think what it is used for. Thankfully, he gave me coordinates of a mining area and the anomaly which leads back to Sigma - 13 system, so I proceeded on with caution, as the cruiser had a hard time moving trough very dense asteroid field. The spot that IMG miner mentioned confirmed my suspicions. The system is already widely used and exploited. The spot was crowded with transports, miners, and even Blood Dragon bomber squad. After some reasoning with them, the Zoner transport decided to give a contibution to the Rotte Hessen Armee, 390 units of this new commodity. I didnt hesitate to end this mission and move back to Vogtland as my research was completed.
The ore, Narcrahtite, as the Zoners call it, appears to be very valuable on the market currently. This gives only one conclusion, that it can be used somehow. The ore is currently being transferred to the Rotte Hessen Armee science department for testing and finding its use. If the Rotte Hessen Armee finds need for larger amount of this ore, I volunteer for the mission.
