Scientific Report: Oleg Nikolayevich Petrov, Hudson Gate
Comrades, Dis damage to Hudson gate much worse then thought. Upon our arrival to gate ve met vith DSE ship. Both vessels scanned gate and damage to hyperspace very bad. Scanners report the imminent emergence of singularity in hyperspace. Dis not good. A hyperspace survey by a mk 3 hyperspace scanner be required to determine extent of damage. Request was made to DSE for scanner to reveal full extent of damage.
Comrades, Preliminary scans showed very bad damage to hyperspace. Ve entered Rheinland to assess the damage on the other side. Da Rheinlanders shot at us. Ve vere not able to get close for scan and had to leave. Before ve left ve vere able to make partial scan which confirmed dis readings on the Hudson side. The details of my diagnosis is as follows. Using the standard Schwarzschild formula. Ve vere able to make estimate of singularity in formation.
Sr = 2Gm/c2
Sr = 2(6.67428 x 10^-11) (6840828027900.0234Kg)/(300,000,000 m/s)2
Using this calculation ve vere able to roughly map dis singularity.
Communication Log
822-06-19 05:07:36 Oleg Petrov: Dis gate broke. Begin diagnostics 822-06-19 05:09:04 Newton Science Officer: Comrade Petrov. The scans are showing a massive instability is forming. Scans indicate the imminent formation of a singularity. 822-06-19 05:09:47 DSE Technician: Greetings Ageira. 822-06-19 05:10:01 Oleg Petrov: Good day Comrade. Dis gate is broke. Ve are attempting diagnosis. 822-06-19 05:10:43 DSE Technician: Excellent, may I run some tests alongside your own? 822-06-19 05:10:53 Oleg Petrov: Of course comrade. 822-06-19 05:11:21 DSE Technician: Hmm, this is certainly unsettling. 822-06-19 05:11:21 Oleg Petrov: Scans show the imminent formation of a singularity. 822-06-19 05:11:31 DSE Technician: Yes, I can see that... 822-06-19 05:11:34 Oleg Petrov: Dis not good comrade 822-06-19 05:12:02 DSE Technician: I read the PSA. It's certainly becoming a high priority for the administration 822-06-19 05:12:26 Oleg Petrov: Da 822-06-19 05:13:20 Newton Science Officer: Sir these reports can't be true. If what I read is correct we have a serious problem 822-06-19 05:13:46 Oleg Petrov: Dis worse then i thought. Run full hyperspace scan 822-06-19 05:14:13 DSE Technician: Hmm, the structural integrity of the unit doesn't look irreparable at first glance. Though that is only a scratch on the surface. 822-06-19 05:15:00 Oleg Petrov: Da this damage very bad. But check hyperspace. Much damage. 822-06-19 05:16:04 DSE Technician: Hmm, may I see your report so far? 822-06-19 05:16:36 Oleg Petrov: Ve read an instability in hyperspace. Sending data now comrade. 822-06-19 05:16:43 DSE Technician: Thank you. Commencing video stream. Christ... this is a serious problem. 822-06-19 05:18:15 Oleg Petrov: Comrade ve require a full hyperspace survey of dis gate. Does DSE have a mk 3 Hyperspace scanner? 822-06-19 05:18:40 DSE Technician: I believe we do. I shall depart at once and consult my foreman. See if we can bring that down here. 822-06-19 05:18:50 Oleg Petrov: Spasiba. I vill stay and continue the scans. 822-06-19 05:19:15 DSE Technician: Thank you for this data. I'll relay this information and see what we can do in the first instance. Someone will be in touch as soon as possible. 822-06-19 05:19:37 Oleg Petrov: Of course comrade. Always a pleasure. Safe skies. 822-06-19 05:23:25 Newton Science Officer: Reading instabilities on the Rheinland side. Comrade Oleg, we must check the other side. These scans can't be ignored 822-06-19 05:25:34 Oleg Petrov: Yes ve must investigate. 822-06-19 05:29:29 Oleg Petrov: Dis is ze Ageira Technologies Research ship "Newton" Ve request access to study dis gate. We read much instability on dis side. ve must be allowed to work. Moving to Hudson gate to assess ze damage. Dis gate shoots at us. Comrade scan quickly 822-06-19 05:33:53 Newton Science Officer: Comrade Oleg, we are too far to scan. 822-06-19 05:34:11 Oleg Petrov: Dis not good. First Rheinlanders break gate then they shoot at us. I vunder. Can blast be deflected?
