Battleship Scanners

Your scanners won't be gone. You can still put them on ships that actually are supposed to use them. Or sell them, like I sold five of mine yesterday and got a billion for it. Not the worst deal, given that the Adv. Deep Scanner has an okay range that totally suffices for me.

This is the problem with even having switch like this. Now some people are committed instantly (bailing) because you basically just admitted you use them on 5 ships that weren't going to need them now...? so yeah the option is to try to find someone who needs 5 (or 4 in my case) and sell them asap, or hold out hope an alternative can come, and the more of us willing to do that the better it might be. One way or another this is not just a simple change for a lot of us I think. If you can sell sell sell you avoid the plummet in BS scanner demand (as most players don't have 5 caps they are looking to bump up to BS scanner all at once if they don't have them on aready) and save yourself. Shouldn't be done like this. Needs a parachute! Throw us a bone! Its a loss of credits but mostly we need another level long range scanner for the rest of the non capital ship classes (moneysink).

How about for a short time you could just 'redeem' your BS scanner for the new tier scanner. Let us be the ones to switch as long as there's something in the middle of relative value. Happy medium possible?
