Where do Xenos get money?

3 of us in Hawks and a Starblazer took on one Guardian with a lvl 10 shield and we couldn't get it down.

Back when the Colorado Blazers still existed (my wing of indies before the XA was formed) me and my three wingmen (all in blazers) stumbled across a convoy of a Armoured transport and a Ravens Talon. We beat them pretty bad. It is possible, and it has been done.

Also, I'm in favour of Xenos in bombers, I mean the amount of crap that comes out when we log on, I mean it's ridiculous. That being said I don't have a Xeno bomber, or a VHF. So far I have only have one XA tagged ship and it's a Blazer despite me being one of the clans founders. I also have a indy Crow that I haven't got round to upgrading to the XA yet, but it never comes out to play any more. The Blazer is fun purely for the RP and the irritation factor.

As for the under lvl players, you'll find they have quite an itchy trigger finger. The Colorado miners in CSVs for example. When I find one I'll scan him and find say, three Xeno pilots and 100 units of silver. I'll tell him to drop the pilots even if there's nothing I can do about it. Usually they'll drop it out if intimidation because they don't know the rules then I'll leave and let them be. If they don't drop the pilot I'll circle them and usually they panic and open fire. I wait for my hull to damage before nukin' them in self defence and refusing to return my buddies. Still if they ignore me I'll just fly off:P


And back to original topic: We get our money from supporters in the public, i.e. civilians on Houston and Denver (fairly poor so they won't donate too much) and a few wealthy Manhattan supporters. We also get 'donations' from Universal shipping to ensure we don't target their ships and keep up the pressure on foreigners. We also maintain (maintain being replacing the duct tape occasional) a small fleet of Freighters- Dromedray's, Rhino's or whatever which accompany raiding parties (in the XA anyway) which pick up stolen goods and sell them to the Zoners.
