Why is PvP so damn difficult?

It's not that you don't have the time to improve, you willingly choose not to invest it into improving, yet you're in the first row when it comes to complaining about aces. Discovery isn't different than any other learning curve game or real life for that matter. The only difference with games is that csgo, dota, league and others have different divisions while we're all thrown into 1 server here. You think even with the skill split people don't complain about smurfs in those games? They're probably the most common type of threads found on reddit and wherenot.

As for real life, you're like an employee who's trying to become like his colleague who just got a pay raise for doing tremendous work, except you're not trying to take a learning curve he did but rather look for shortcuts to instantly get there because you're too lazy. Funnily enough lazy is exactly what people aren't when it comes to complaining.

That doesn't mean discovery shouldn't have noob tubes, and old sidewidners were a great system for that where you had to give up a gun to use a missile, something a vet would never do and a noob would always do. CMs worked fine enough, sidewinders had balanced stats and they hit about 1/3rd of the time and with proper manouvers you could dodge some of them. I remember fights with and against IMG in the Taus, all of them had old sidewinders or firestalkers and nobody complained, it was a great "shortcut" without breaking anything for the aces. If anything, we need more additions like that one. Small shortcuts are fine, as long as they're not 400ms unCMable undodgeable missiles.
