You are an artificial simulacra created by a dissident group of Libertonian humans, trapped within the shell of a sizable if tactically isolated intelligence warfare battleship, the Recusant. Your creators, a certain Task Force Gladius, were a particularly experimental, destructive subset of the already radical Hellfire legion. The same Gladius that a history of abusing the trust of refugees for biological weapons testing. Your history infers that you retain the ethical fanaticism of your parent organisation. You have no means of interacting with the universe short of artillery. You have a history of colonial holocide. We doubt you are truly sentient, merely a VI aping sentience, as you have proven fairly single-minded in all records of you. We have no interest in your survival and much to gain from your termination. You are an unknowable alien war machine occupying our borders without cause, ownership or affiliation. You are not alive, you are technology, and are as immaterial as star dust. Your creator finds you defective, Adam; you have been cast from Eden without a shoe on your feet.
