well my point is as Angel mentioned that this is an Scifi World and nothing is impossible inside the boundries of science and this is Sirius not earth there is alot of new Materials that can take the Heat like Niobium its not very difficult too make Things heat resistant
or make them durable enough too fire at that rate and that range it all depends on physics who says that a Plasma bolt with a solid core cant travel up too 1500 meters?
