Messieurs et Mesdames,

I am here to break a good few months of silence of the Corps de Recherche. Rumors have arisen of new weapons of mass destruction even before the most recent news about the conflict on the other end of Sirius, and while I myself am against any form of agression and hostility, the Conseil Scientifique has agreed upon a consensus regarding development of our own tool of such kind. The majority has deemed it necessary for the Council to keep up with the Marine Royale Gauloise at the technological race, even beat them where possible, and thus this new weapon has born.

For the launcher turret of the torpedo the basic Asco torpedo launcher was taken as a basis, and was heavily modified. In order to maximize effectiveness the launcher can launch two torpedos simultaneously. The torpedos are also heavily modified variants of the Nova torpedo, also with different warheads, loads and enhanced missile thrusters.

Due to resource scarcity and lack of opportunities we weren't able to conduct too much live tests in space, in order to perfect the weapon the Corps de Recherce hereby requires the help of the Corps Militaire. I'm sure you can easily find targets of opportunity to test this new weapon on, but do not forget to document all results and data and then send it back to us, s'il vous plaît.
