Not only was the thread locked, but it was deleted as well. This is pretty totalitarian thing to do....

To the issue:

Someone (devs/admins) in 2015 broke Pilgrim Liner by increasing its cargo. It was an incredibly stupid idea, we all know it.

Now that those people are not around here anymore (or not in charge) there is no reason to not decrease the cargo back to 3600.

And NO, no ammout of NO's from whoever is going to change the fact, that there are people who want to fly Pilgrim with Freelancer ID.
It was possible before, it must be possible now.

P.S.: If it requires changes in admin/dev team, so be it, we can wait, but we are not going to give up.

Correction, the ship was previously 4.3k then dropped to 3.6 k then brought back up. It was only dropped because the community wanted it for salve hauling purposes on the freelancer ID though as I recall it was mainly on the lobbying of a Slaver's Guild faction that subsequently got shut down by admins for questionable role-play. It deserves to be brought back up to 4.3k as it is a huge ship with good cargo.

I would use the L'Ane in a heartbeat (with factional blessing, of course) if only it didn't have the giant damn neon purple fleur on the side.

That Fluer is the best part y'all Deva leave it Alone <_< Tongue

Now my two cents:

The problem I have with opening it up to Freelancers is that it isn't illegal almost everywhere, which the Ptrain is. This is the balancing factor with the increased cargo. Now, If this was way back in the day where the Pilgrim was the Slave Liner and banned across Sirius this would be a different story. As the Junker Congress leader, I have a serious problem with nerfing one of the few 4.3k transports Junkers get that isn't illegal anywhere in Sirius. While yes I support the freelancer ID getting more variety in transports I want it done well, open up the Gallic Civilian lines to them at 100% and maybe drop the Corsairs Train to 4.3k and allow them to use it with permission (or none and let the chaos ensue.)

Also I still firmly believe that the I'lane should be Sirius unlawful or something like that.

Now this was the most sensible reply in this thread, and maybe on the whole topic. Very informative.

Looking at the issue from Junkers point of view, I can see why you would not want the cargo decreased. Your reason for keeping it 4300 is actually the same as our reason to decrease it to 3600. Junkers, Freelancers and other groups would love more variety, more options.

How hard is to copy ship, code diferent name and reduce cargo from egsisting ship? That way we will have both bigger and freelancer versions. Kinda like GRN/Council Obstinate.
For crying out loud, this painless and simple solution could have be done long ago and save as lot of un-nessesary drama here.

So maybe the solution to this would be introducing new Freelancer ID allowed ship with similar badass look and feel as Pilgrim Liner has. I know, that this will require work. But maybe those of us who want it, could help make it real.

We can either modify Pilgrim Liner, keeping some of its shapes and textures. Or find some other model/design that could be used.

Although I personaly am closer to code part of moding, than messing with graphics, Im willing to put some time and effort to see this through.
