Imo, what the last days showed is pobs can be activity beacons and that their fast destruction shouldn't be attacker's main objective, for destroying them only returns the region to low if not dead activity.

It would have been way funnier for everyone to keep a score and make the base forfeit or even captured by the other party after three major engagements victories, for example.
That way we could have had more than one gigantic battle and durable activity in the area.
