Hail, Mrs. Laurich,
a pleasure to have your response in my mailbox. Let me at first try to clear some things up, I don't want to be mistaken here in that case. I have been in retirement for the last 5 years, and right after getting in charge of the Merchant navy again, the actual supply situation of Bretonia brought us directly into business. So I was taking a look in my old postbox, reviewed all the old contracts having been made when I was in charge the last time, found the one regarding restricted cargo in Rheinland and went on my way to gather supplies from Nuremberg. A little too fast, as it seems.
Since it seems that all the old contracts made with the Rheinland Federal Police have been outdated, the Bretonian Merchant Navy will of course pay the fine levied by the Federal Republic of Rheinland, proof of transaction below.
The mentioned above shall of course not be an excuse, but an apology.
So, towards the point of thrustworthiness. The Bretonian Merchant Navy will seek negotiations with the corporations you have mentioned, and after this, we will forward the respective papers in this channel. Until then, the Bretonian Merchant Navy will not be shipping the goods in question inside the space of the Federal Republic of Rheinland.
As for a short statement to the last point you have mentioned, shipping goods of foreign origin inside the borders of the Federal Republic of Rheinland:
Kommissar Laurich, whilst I understand your concern and distrust due to my request, I will try to make clear why it is requested this way. Since the Bretonian Merchant Navy is of course primarily responsible to carry supplies to Bretonia, we always try to have an open ear for the needs of our partners, which means that, in case of doubt and if requested, we would be able to deliver a shipment of light arms to the Federal Republic of Rheinland, by taking back supplies to Bretonia.
The second reason for our request for the light arms license is quite even more simple, Mrs. Laurich: Since the shortest way from Liberty to Bretonia will lead us through Cortez or Magellan space, at the actual tactical situation, the way is not always a safe one, so that we might have to evade for a supply route through Rheinland space, an option we can not take if the light arms license is not being granted.
The same might also apply for military vehicles of Liberty origin, how this point has to be covered, I am awaiting your response, since the same point regarding the safe supply route as for light arms could occur for military vehicles.
With best regards, and in everlasting faith of her majesty, Carina, Regina, Imperatrix!
Commodore Sir Finlay O’Dukes, Lord Hamilton
