There is a very real and easy way to cancel nemp attacks. There is no IFF for weapons once fired they simply do damage. If I was a smart general I would keep my forces spread out and then rush the enemy. If ships can make it withing 5 k of the enemy then they are less likely to fire nemps as they target their ships as well. I mean who fires a nuke into a city with their own people in it. not many do. Like I said in a previous post there should be a counter for JD that a ship can install and expend to keep from being forced to jump. There was an anime called heavy object where massive robots of mass destruction would fight for power. A couple of ground troops discovered small weaknesses or oversights the enemy didn't expect and used them in the situation to gain the upper hand and kill the enemy robot. the same for outnumbering forces. Some 5000 Greeks used a choke point to hold off and deal considerable damage to the Persian army that was some 2,000,000 strong. That's 400 to 1 odds. My point is nothing is infallible. even if someone get a system buster there will be a weakness to exploit. If you haven't found that weakness try again.
