Nomad Warforms - The Navigator

The smallest, and by far the most common, form to witness is known to humans as a Navigator. These fragile entities are the quickest of all Nomad forms yet witnessed and their entire purpose is, seemingly, akin to a scout. At a glance, these entities often appear to be nothing more than autonomous drones with a fight or flight response to all situations that occur around them - with the most common response being the latter option.

However, there is more to these creatures than one would assume just by looking. The Navigator is the form assumed by all newly developed Nomads for when they first leave the hive. They are like children being let out into the world with only a warning - a warning to be careful of the creatures that roam the voids around them. This is where the fight or flight response comes into action. Like Children, most will flee at the sight of a potential threat, but there are some that will bite. It is this unpredictable nature that makes them so hard to understand and, by extension, trust.

The Navigator's main purpose is to roam the voids close to its home/point of origin to gather information, both for itself and the hive. By gathering information for itself it continues to grow and learn. It is this process that allows it to begin its ascension of the chain of evolution within the Nomad Hierarchy.
