And It doesn't matter that it can't handle Asteroids or Debris fields, I thought that the point of this transport was to handle major economic routes (IE Tradelanes) And the major points of business and trade centers wouldn't need to be tucked away like pirate bases (cough) in asteroid and debris fields.
