Of course, Council wouldn't be much interested into this inRP, but ohers should be. Doubting though that we have alot people in this communty who aren't interested in exploring Sol and fly there if they can.

Players? Yes. Characters? Maybe. Investors? No.

That's the problem. You might have people interested and hopeful for this, but no character in his right mind would invest in such endavour if there is no clear gain for him. For example, you have Ageira, greatest technological corporation in Sirius that has simple goal - make billions of cash while selling products. How do you make billions? By small increments of technological advancement and not by building the biggest badass super-hyper-duper-jump-gate that takes us back to our Solar System where resources were most likely exhausted by then.

What I am trying to say here, is that people might be ooRPly interested to see this implemented, but inRP, proper investors would not as there is no clear plan of dividend payout after it has come to fruition.
