First of all I'd like to thank the Board for their trust to re-instate me back to my previous position.
A week ago I led USI convoy number USI#38984. The run was quite troublesome as we encountered a Unioner cruiser in New Berlin, however we managed to escape without losses or agreeing to the pirate's demands and returned to Manhattan where we took a group photo along with our escort. In full view of Trenton of course. •
It is very unfortunate that the Board denied the application of Kemayoran Express, he is a dedicated and active pilot and who would have contributed significantly to our project. I believe there is still time to make up from this tragic lapse of judgment.
Two days later I was ambushed by a VP pirate in New York system. The criminal was quite experienced but I managed to outmaneuver him after a quite lengthy conversation and escape unharmed and without meeting any of his demands. •
Not two days later our small convoy encountered a Xeno Alliance pilot near the Jump Gate. He seemed quite friendly and we anonymously donated money to his cause. I should point out that he didn't ask for money. •
And now about the loss of Clemson. We were heading to Rheinland with three transports filled with Platinum ore. I was in contact with an Atlantis Carrier commander on Houston who was monitoring Unioner activity. For unknown reasons at some point the Commander stopped responding to my comms. So I was forced to seek a local mercenary to work as a scout for our group. Eventually we found one, a man named Brixton Deron. So we headed to Texas with Mr Deron at the front flying a Liberator, scouting for us.
Strike One - When I asked Mr. Deron to scout all the way to Houston and report us his findings he said the route was safe but when we jumped through we found Mr. Deron just taking the trade lane to Houston.
Strike Two - Somewhere in the middle of the lane the Unioner forces were waiting for an ambush. Mr. Deron however did not disrupt the pirates who were attempting to come to us at the NY Jump Gate. When I was asked Mr. Deron about it afterwards he claimed that "He was too scared by the Unioner bombers".
Strike Three - We were chased by the Unioners, at some point one of them reaching 6 clicks away from Clemson. However we managed to outrun them despite us flying supertransports, a clear example of USI Superior Training. I reached Planet Houston first and then covered Clemson's entry as well. Our escort was nowhere to be found. •
Strike Four - The Unioners were furious with our success and used the trade lanes and cloaks to enter the heavily defended area around Planet Houston and Battleship Mississippi. Their war fleet consisted by two heavily armed cruisers and three smaller ships and they instantly destroyed Clemson which happened only because it was completely unarmored. Liberty Navy was nowhere to be found. •
There are my remarks for this incident. Afterwards I managed to evade the Unioners and safely transport the cargo to New Berlin along with USI ship Ramases and return back to Liberty, this time escorted by the Forlorn.
