This has proven to the surviving command staff that we have no choice but to assume that we are being assaulted on a direct organizational level, and those opposing us have sufficient resources to be unstoppable to us at this time. In the interest of your safety, you are directed to scrub your identities and go to ground for a period lasting no less than a year. Any who wish to try to rebuild the organization are asked to rendezous at the El Paradiso on Planet Erie exactly one year from the date of these instructions being given out, but until the all clear is given, assume yourselves to be hunted effective immediately. Willow, being Willow, quietly arranged for the Pestilence to be scrapped. No sense leaving a loose end like that lying around. Then she arranged the next few semesters at one of the universities on Denver, whose name her JiangXi native accent would mangle, because that is what young ladies her age do. Teresa, her dear adoptive sister, had been packed off to a boarding school in Cambridge a few weeks before the Magnificent Lunatic and the others had disappeared, fortunately.

But Willow had faith. Ryan could survive anything, and he had his buddies. They'd be fine, and after a year, they could get back together and toast a successful conclusion to what was hopefully the longest drill they would ever partake in. At least, she hoped it was a drill.
