Is that what this is all about? Truth or no, the OP could certainly have spared us the guilt trip. There's no need for it. We can discuss this matter objectively without that sort of manipulation.

Alternate pathway, sure I suppose, but this is the path I selected. Fault me on it. Which is fine with me. But mind you. It doesn't change how I would do it if I had chance to do it over

I guarantee you'll regret that decision if this thread gets any traction. It escapes me why you would share such intimate details of your mother's poor mental health state with a group of strangers. If she was real, and I was her, to say i'd be upset is a gargantuan understatement.

If you are indeed telling the truth i'd strongly advise taking down your original post.
