Not a miracle

I opened my eyes and found myself in an unfamiliar place.
It was a Kusari cruiser that happened to pass by the debris of our transport vessel. I was the only survivor they found. I had been in a coma for weeks and they had no idea who I was. My whole body was covered in bandages and my left arm was in a cast

I tried to move, but it hurt alot. My stomage was stitched back together, but above all... I was alive...
No I was not alive. I died there. I am now something different. I am now something more.
I laid back down on the bed.

A doctor that noticed me being awake, rushed into the room and explained what happened. He told me it was a miracle that I was alive. He told me that I had bone fractures in my left arm, ribs and hip and that I shouldn't try to move. Afterwards he left the room again to get the other doctors and I was alone in the room again.

I smiled.
It was not a miracle. It was her mercy that saved me.
She made death powerless against me.

When they returned, they started to question me. I told them my name and who my father was.
They looked at eachother and quickly left the room again. Shortly after, I was transported back to New Tokyo.
