The formatting is starting to look better. I do not know if you managed to find this post by @Laz . There you can find a list with all the bb code tags. And this one by @Corile show you a list of fonts you can use, it also has some formatting examples for texts.
It will take some time for you get the hang of it, but I am sure you can do it.

Now regarding making a faction - you should wait a bit, take it step by step.
Uhm, I never made a faction but if were to make one, I guess my the first thing that i would think of would be " is there something similar to what I want to make?" - I would start looking around. If yes - How would my Faction be different from the one that already exists. ( Basically why would people want to join my faction instead of the other one.) If no - " How ca I present my idea to other players in order to make them want to join my faction."

Best thing, in my opinion, would be to first get a group of players (if you do not have one already) and start from there.
