Subject: Mission 04788-SY report
Gentlemen ,
The first survey mission to look for Captain William have been achieved few days ago. Although we acquired very useful data, we paid a great price. We lost some of our men in this perilous mission. Let's not forgot their names. As you can see I also have been hurt and can't put my suit yet. I should recover quickly.
As a reminder, we received the last comm' from Captain Williams from the Omicron Minor as he was heading to Omicron Iota via a "strange Jump Hole".
The Cetus Polar and the Tauri met in Omegas to proceed a first Hyper Jump to Omicron Delta. We had to stop at Freeport 11 before progressing in the Omicrons to refuel the Tauri, you know... just in case. We didn't really knew what will wait for us there. But we can't let one of ours alone.
We pursued our way to Omicron Minor Jump Hole and docked to it. We knew the things were gonna be serious once we get there.
The Cetus Polar and The Tauri preparing to Jump to Omicron Delta
As soon as the Jump was completed, we entered the coordinates from where were sent William's last comm'. Through the way, we witnessed the ravages Nomads made to The Order.. Not a good omen. The Omicron Minor Edge Nebula crossed, we didn't need radars to understand what was the strange jump hole described by Captain William. A very weird and huge structure, definitely made by some intelligent being was in front of us.
We proceed to dock at the strange gate, and jump to the unknown.
At our arrival, we discovered an unknown system gathering many other visible structured with the style of the gate we docked to. We didn't identified any known signature in the area. We decided to head to a dense nebulae nearby. It could have disturb some frequencies. Once inside, we found nothing but other Alien structures. The atmosphere was tense, we didn't know where we were, what we were facing. We felt that the Aliens could jump on us at any moment.
Well we didn't wait long to see them. As soon as we left the nebulae, the Cetus Polar detected some known signatures... Nomads one. And guess which ones ? The two nomad ships that The Lyra Vega and The Stixx met in Omega 3, plus another fighter.
Anyway... that mission smelled bad from the beginning but we had no choice but to go.
Strangely. the Nomads didn't attack directly like they did before. On the contrary, they began to "talk" with us. It was a very strange sensation to communicate with an alien life-form. It was not really clear discussions, more a very strange feeling that encompasses you. On our side we were talking verbally and they seemed to react to what we were saying.
The exchange didn't last long thought. Rapidly, we felt their anger rising and the first strike was made.
The Cetus Polar was really not made for fighting. I avoided as much as I can the shots, flying around the Tauri. I eventually ended up to be destroyed. I could survive with one of my crew in the escape pod. The 3 others didn't made it. The Tauri tracked us before the Nomads shot us. I know we jumped back to Omega 3 and that the Nomad followed us but I lost consciousness then.
Meanwhile, I will buy another model of the Deep Explorer ship and modify it for a next mission. We will need to have more ships with us. I keep faith we can find back Captain Williams, or at least the story of his end.
Sincerely,
Silver Westbourne
