Old Acquaintances, New Favors

A ping followed shortly after Tara's message was sent, jolting Ellie awake in the middle of a small nap during some downtime. She wasn't expecting any message during that time and simply thought that someone might've needed help around the base or something, but to her surprise it came from a contact she had almost forgotten during her time spent roaming. It even took her a while to connect two and two together until it made her remember who exactly they were. Not like she knew Tara much at all to begin with however.

The whole tone of the message was not something she was expecting, and a rather particular reference to a certain man who knew how to basically kill people with words made her chuckle lightly. At least some people didn't forget the antics of those two.

Truth be told, I didn't expect anyone from that old gang to even contact me anymore.

I guess this came more as a shocker and a delight all at the same time, but who am I to deny company and an invitation really? It might, however, take me a little while to get there. I'm not entirely sure if I have business to handle yet or not, considering you managed to wake me up with this. Though if not... I should be there quite soon. Hell, I haven't even been to Gran Canaria in my life. That's already something to perhaps look forward to while I'm there.

What can I say really, curiosity might've killed the cat but it keeps me at the edge of my seat.
Uhm... actually scratch that, I forgot I'm bad at jokes.

Oh... and by the way. Don't get startled when you see me. I changed a little bit, you'll see what I mean later.

With all that said, she put her usual clothes on before passing by places to look around if things were indeed busy. Then perhaps sneaking out for a short vacation while at it. Being in her current group of people was sometimes particularly... awkward. Sometimes outright terrifying perhaps. Well at least she hadn't gotten hurt too badly, yet.
