I've admitted it before and I'll admit it again: the hardline religious angle of the Cross was a mistake. It was fun for a while but around the time it really started needing to live and breathe and expand as an RP concept, it fell apart- and I didn't have the time to fix it and make it work properly.
Amalfi is us taking a step back and going for a more core Outcast concept- the references to the Cross were meant to allow the continuation of some of our previous characters under a the new banner, while also giving a little more backstory for those that remember Cross' old writeup.
