Video Diary I:

Start of the Video Recording…

Subject ID: Countess Alise von Ravensberg
Location: Somewhere in the Tanner Belt
Time: 01:11
Day: 26th March 825

Alise looked directly into the camera nothing was able to hide her tiredness and the look of as if something is extensively nagging on her. To the right of her there is a glass of wine, half full as if she already had drunken a bit of it. She let out a long drawn out sigh, shifting her gaze away from the camera turning away from her face.

“Sooo… Here I am listening to my little sister once again. Doing something like this relieves me of my stress she said. Maybe it does, I will at least give it a shot. Also I do not know how regularly I will do these. So where should I begin?”

She looks up at the ceiling of her quarters, smiling thinly, almost sarcastical.

“Live in Bering, It is bothersome. The Fuchs at least offers a bit of a safe space for me, away from the Freeport and Pacifica. These places are too lively for me, docking there from time to time is okay but living there? Not really mine. We have the Stahlfresser getting all the supplies for us to stay in space: Food, Water, Oxygen, Books and other stuff needed for daily life. Even though my personal supplies of wine and tea are slowly getting empty, I may need to contact this one Freelancer again to stock up on it again…

About our general situation in Bering, Liberty Navy, Xeno, Weird Kusarians somehow the system attracts tons of problems for us and Harmony. Luckily, our might is also growing. The Union and Harmony both got a new Battleship. The Sirene and the Chefornak. These are going to be two highly valuable assets for our common struggle. I actually have met the Captain of the Chefornak in person, Cheryl Augustine. I quite like her, during my time on her ship I actually managed to forget the worries that plagued me before. I will definitely hold contact with her.

On a completely different note, I am furious with the behaviour some of our allies display. Names? I am just going to say one: The Lane Hackers and especially a man called Wolfgang Weisen. I do not know where to start about the many mistakes that were made yesterday during a convoy. Firstly, the Union never got the planned route meaning that we had to rely on the Hackers to lead us, which looked upon now after it was one giant mistake. The whole convoy was simply a huge mess, they lead us through half of Liberty, I do not want to know the chances of how often we would have been caught by the Navy. When we reached Kusari it was not a tiny bit better, the scanner showed that the ‘IKN-Hiei’ had nearly caught the Convoy but as soon as we entered the Tau´s they stopped following us.

Luckily the way back over Omicron Alpha to the Sigmas was calm no enemies but already mentioned person, ‘Wolfgang Weisen’, began to speak about how our claim, on what essentially are the wrecks of our ancestors, is hurting indirectly ‘their’ business. How? I can explain this, a group called the ‘Junker Marauders’ seem to be thinking that they simply could come and send the Lane Hackers and this ‘Weisen’ as a running boy to us. As if I would allow those dirty Junkers to defile my ancestors graves! They shall not get a single piece of one of these once mighty warships! And if I see one of those with pieces of these ships in their cargo hold, I personally will send their poor souls towards which ever deity they worship!”

Especially during the last bit her voice was like the barking of a wild dog, ready to rip to pieces what ever may be in front of it. Shortly after this she slightly calmed down again. Calmly reaching for her glass and emptying the wine inside of it. Her voice was back to normal with an additional undertone of amusement.

“Today, Zelinsky and me finally found something we can agree on. Normally we are constantly exchanging verbal blows at each other. When now the both of us, once again, were patrolling Bering, we saw a huge Coalition Force heading through the system towards Liberty. Zelinsky seemed to agree to my statements that the ceasefire the Oberkommando agreed to was… Lets put it like this, we both do not approve of it and would rather have blown holes in their petty ships. She actually reminded me of an old saying about those Commies: Better dead than red. It is true, hope the Navy gave them a hard time. Well it has been enough for today.”

Alise reaches forward and turns off the camera...

End of the Video Recording…
