These guys do some decently alright work at changing things a bit in the interests of new RP, that much alone should earn them a lot of points. BD| has its hiccups, every faction does, certainly - but they're by no means insurmountable. Finally: this is a leadership and faction gunning for Official that has, in it's most recent posts on this very same thread, shown the capability for listening to counter-arguements and displayed the ability to apologize for past oorp transgressions and community drama. Those are two qualities that a lot of current official faction leaders, and even some staffers have troubles with. That being the case - and I know I'll never get an actual answer to this but oh well -, I have to question exactly what criteria aren't being met here that's caused the failed officialdom attempt?
Now, speaking as a former official faction leader- I'm going to go ahead and ask that BD membership not be discouraged. Officialdom may sound nice and fancy but it's a lot more paperwork and headache than it initially seems like. Trust me, you're not missing much. It's nice to wave your Faction Rights in the face of everyone but really, the cost it extracts often isn't worth it. You can still be a great faction and not attain officialdom. Use this opportunity to prove the staff wrong in the coming weeks, RP around the community some more, and try again in a little bit. Officialdom isn't everything. It's nice, but it's by no means the only way for a faction to be fun or relevant.
Sorry to hear about this folks. Despite our brief past transgressions: I thought you had this in the bag.
