Restricting codenames

Funny, Kindred, funny. This isn't against independents, hell, if I see a faction-tagged ship breaking rules, I'll report him faster than an independent. Why? They should know better. Sadly, and yes, this is a generalization, most independents don't want to know better! Lemme give you some cases.

Case 1: Mcfly. He's a new guy in a Defender that I hire to escort the LPI's trader, with the sole purpose of helping him. He listens to all my tips, drops smilies, and even drops every Drail on his Defender for class 2 civilian guns when I explain how RP dictates gun/ship choices. I almost cried with joy at finding the precious jewel of a newb, who will no doubt mature to a respectable RPer.

Case 2: Two new guys in a Drone and Dragon. Same deal as above, however, they get into an argument with me when I tell them that smilies and "lol" are ooRP. Not overly impressed.

Case 3: Mace_Griffin (or something like that, if you were in NY while he was here, you understand what pain it takes to type this), a BH BB in NY, with a BH tag and ID, attacking every lawful, blew up the Rusty Donut and Greedy Donut in turn, was hacking, and even admitted: "I'm about to get banned, but I'll have fun until then!" all the while killing everything. See what I mean? We shouldn't try to do what you say, but there has to be clearly defined limits, or we'll see every ship the exact same - made uber pwnzor just to win, whilst those actually interested in RPing will suffer (don't get me wrong, some independents are in this group too) and perhaps give up. Losing every fight then getting "lol u die leave system 4 hours nub lol" gets old pretty quick.
