Ending the Capship Issue(and more)

Whether you like the idea or not, the fact is that capital ships are being restricted by official factions, as it's not against server rules to do so, there isn't much an individual person can do. The general community consensus is that flying around a battleship all day every day is simply a bad thing unless there is suitable roleplay. Mon'Star for example is an Indy who flies his capital ship around whenever he's online, but there's so much back story there it would be unthinkable for anyone to say he couldn't do it. As for the rest it's not that you can't fly the capital ship around, it's that you are asked to provide at least some RP for it, more for battleships. Is that difficult? Maybe for some but there are always folks willing to help you build up that RP.

I myself am about to ask all Independent Rogue capital class vessels to pick another base to launch from other than Buffalo, I'm not going to restrict where they can go or who can use them, just that they respect that Buffalo base is not set up for re-arming and repairing capital class vessels owing to the high volume of Outcast, Hacker and Rogues that pass through it on a daily basis.

Akumabito whilst you may not see much of the capital ships that wander aimlessly through Liberty hunting any passing unlawful, and frankly vice versa. I do. I experience quite alot on both my LR and my XA characters. Rarely a day goes by when I undock my fighters or bombers and don't find myself being chased by a battlecruiser or two or three. It exists believe me. The same exists for the lawfuls, the existence of so many capital class vessels is due to the fact that at one time you couldn't fly through New York without being picked on by an Outcast Destroyer with either a Rogue or Hacker ID, and often times those ships would terrorise manhattan orbit for hours at a time with no reprieve.

The capital restrictions will stay until the majority of the community feel that it is no longer necessary. But until that time if you want to fly a capital class vessel just make sure it's okay with whichever faction controls the production facility for that craft. It may take a paragraph or two of RP, but as I said before is that really so difficult?
