Think of it this way, how many properly RPing battleships have been chased out by their home faction?
None, I think.
In the case of the Corsairs, I can name... 3 Battleships, that RP as battleships, they fly around in their ship as their main account, or one of their main accounts. They're welcomed by all the factions.
There are probably.. 8 nonRPed ships, they're not OORP, they're just ships that people have that they use when we need the big ships, used for defence only. They're also welcome.
And then, there are 3 active OORP/badlyRPed battleships. They're asked to correct their behaviour, 2 of them are being 'watched' and 1 has pretty much been condemned by the factions.
As long as you behave properly, you are left alone. ie, the factions are not being selfish, they are inforcing good RP.
An example:
I undock from Crete, I see 1 huntress 1 praefect, 2 new faces, I scowled thinkig ah crap 2 more cruisers. I scan em, they both seem fine in terms of equip. So I think hmm maybe they ain't so bad after all.
Then one of the cruisers, asks
Cruiser "hey wna PVP?"
Fighter "do you have a fighter?"
Cruiser "no"
