-Do you know what you want to roleplay as a Temporary Autonomous Zoner? Not sure what a 'templar' is, I imagine playing as a sort of 'wandering mystic priest' /occasional miner or freighter. Maybe a temple guard.

-Do you have a character in mind in which you would like to roleplay? If so, tell us the history and general Roleplay. Born to a pair of poor miners in a shoreside Niobium extraction colony on Amiens, the man born "Thaddeus Averon II" never thought he would leave his home planet. Despite their extreme poverty, Thaddeus I insisted that his son be educated in the hopes that he might one day escape their destitute home, so he bought books of science and philosophy wherever he could find them, and made sure his son read every single one. One day, as Thaddeus II was browsing through a new stack of books his father had found at the estate sale of a town elder, he noticed a smaller book whose peculiar title stood out to him: "Principia Discordia." He reached for it out of curiosity; the instant his fingers grasped the dusty tome, his father's copy of Hobbes's "Leviathan" sitting on the table behind him caught fire and burned to dust, and Thaddeus suddenly felt as if he were filled with an energy the likes of which he had never felt before. Inspired by this miracle, Thad consumed the book, learning the ways of Eris with great care. From this day forth, Thad knew he had a purpose, a driving force that would allow him to achieve escape velocity from his meager upbringing: to become a promulgator of the Discordian ways and their liberatory power, to preach to his fellow poor and destitute across the galaxy. For this reason, Thaddeus took on the holy name "Pope Agrippinus Sexton Cognominus IV," and has lived by that name ever since. Through years of hard work, Agrippinus was able to move up through the ranks of the local mining company, eventually working up the creds to purchase a Sunburst and get offworld. As soon as he could, he flew out to Baffin to pay his respects to the Temple of Eris Esoteric and join the TAZ.

-Do you have a recommendation from a TAZ? If so, name them. Not yet, as I have yet to meet any of you, so I'm chiefly filing this application to try to get in contact with you. I'm still somewhat new to Discovery Freelancer RP, so it was unclear to me how I should get in contact with you all, so I decided to just fill out this application anyway.

-Will you follow TAZ roleplay guidelines? Yes.

-What is your experience? When did you join Discovery? I created my first account almost a year ago, but I barely played beyond my first few minutes. I'm finally getting back into the game, but this will be my first deliberate factional RPC, so I'm still a bit new. I thought an RPC like this would be a good place to start.

-Have you roleplayed TAZ before? No. As I said, this is my first factional RPC. That said, I have been RPing in many different Space MMOs for a while now. This isn't my first rodeo.

-Are you in other factions? If so, name them. Not yet. Might join a few later though.

-What will be your level of involvement in TAZ? Fairly active, I plan to turn this character into my main 'economy/exploration' focused character.


Zoner Lore :

-According to you, what is a Zoner? A zoner is a pilot who has chosen to forge their own path, to live beyond the influence of the houses and choose their own destiny. This doesn't mean they are misanthrophic or lone wolves though; the main difference is that a Zoner chooses their allies not based on house connections, but purely based on those whom they see as useful, either as partners or friends.

-Describe the main asset of a Zoner as compared to others? An unaligned party like a Zoner can adapt more easily to shifts in the balance of power between factions and houses, or shifts in the general economy of the galaxy.

-What is the most important thing for a Zoner in the Sirian community? Zoners are by definition unique and individualistic, so each Zoner is different. As such, the key task for a zoner is to maintain honesty and honor. Lying to committed partners, causing wanton destruction, seeking totalitarian power: these are not the honorable ways of a liberated individual.
