I think it's pretty neat that you advocate the use of civilian ships over ones used by the Royal Navy! Perhaps in the fightercrafts section, you ought to list the Moonbeam, Sunbeam and Eclipse first, then the "special permission ships" below that? Also, don't forget that the GMS offers the Tournez Light Miner as a Light Fighter! To me, I always feel like being part of a police faction means having a ship that cruises fast, which means either a Freighter or a Light Fighter. Since the only Light Fighter you've listed so far is the "special permission" Lynx, perhaps adding the Tournez to the roster of freely usable civilian ships would be a good idea?
You might also reach out to Samura Industries in order to secure a few Hayabusas and Drones for your officers, but that's completely optional given that they'd be at 75% on a GRP ID (Which honestly isn't that bad on a 3-gun LF).
The write up, despite being short, is simple and to the point! Sometimes, you just don't need that much space to present your idea to potential members, and having a short faction description is perfect for attracting newer players (As well as those who don't like reading walls-o-text).
I think the great thing about the GRP is that it has the potential for being a second LPI in the sense of corrupt cops. Perhaps the LPI is less corruptable these days (I don't know, I haven't interacted with them lately), but the GRP has some serious potential for interesting smuggler-police RP interactions. Too often, I see both official and indy cops alike pulling the "Drop everything AND pay this huge fine or get spaced" line. If no one is around but the cop and the smuggler though, I can maybe see an officer of the GRP looking the other way if the smuggler tosses a good "tip" their way, if you catch my drift.
The biggest thing you want to do as a Gallic faction is to encourage people to come to Gallia. If people know out-of-character that being stopped by a GRP doesn't necessarily mean "Game Over" for smugglers, this will get them to come back more often. Little else is more frustrating as a smuggler than being told to "Drop all cargo or die!" But, if they only have to drop a freighter's worth for "evidence" purposes, or pay off a few million to keep a cop quiet? It's an interesting and different approach to role playing, plus you get to make some money without killing the golden goose!
I'm already committed to the few factional characters I have, otherwise I'd give this a try, myself! But, it'd be nice to have someone to bump into, if/when I bring my mobile space restaurant into Gallia! The fact that you'll be adding to the GMS' presence in Gallia is a good thing, and who knows - maybe we'll see some Brigand faction crop up soon because of this?
